Asa Hendrix-Petry is a multidisciplinary artist from Bloomington, Indiana. As a lifelong artist, he has always been drawn to creativity as a cathartic process. His work features a combination of found imagery, layers, and pattern to investigate the intersections of visual culture, identity, and lived experience.

Asa attended Earlham College, where he received his BA in art, with a concentration in art history, and a minor in museum studies. His current work prioritizes drawing, while playing with traditions of painting and printmaking.

When he isn't painting, you can find Asa songwriting, cooking, browsing used bookstores, listening to NPR, and working for the New York Public Library. He is currently based in New York City.
